Who are Bacchic Books?

It’s the imprint that I use for publishing my books.
It allows me to have complete control over every aspect of the publishing process.

Why is it called Bacchic Books?

Warning – nerd alert!
Bacchus was the Roman name for the Greek God Dionysus. He was the God of wine and having a good time but he was also the God of theatre. In other words – telling stories. The Greeks would perform plays as a way to celebrate him.
I’m a Classics geek at heart (it’s the consequence of having a father who was a Roman archaeologist). That, plus the appeal of some good old fashioned alliteration, is the reason why I’ve called my imprint Bacchic Books.

And the grapes logo?

It was one of his symbols and I have heard that some people do like to curl up with a glass of wine while reading…
